WAIT LIST

Sign up to the wait list to be first in line when places are released!

How the waitlist works

We run small group trips with limited availability. They are often over subscribed and we use a wait list system to try and ensure fairness for all. Signing up to the wait list does not guarantee you a place, nor does it obligate you to book a place. It simply gives you early access to booking. Those signed up tot the wait list will get 48hrs notice before we open for general booking.

Swimming the Solstice Coast to Coast

On this trip we will once again be teaming up with awesome Peak District based swim guide and pork pie connoisseur, Suzie Wheway. Together we will be combining our love of swimming and fearless capacity for logistics as we lead you from east to west for a midsummer micro-adventure!

The trip takes place over two nights and one very full day, making the most of the long daylight hours immediately after the summer solstice. It features a series of dips and swims in Northumberland and Cumbria, and some great food too. The trip is open to all swimmers but is especially suited to dippers, bobbers, and breaststroke swimmers. If you prefer to swim crawl, and get a bit of distance or training under your belt, please let us know when you book in.

Friday 20th June:

1pm: Meet in Cockermouth for transport to Whitley Bay. Pick ups can also be made in Keswick and Penrith. You will need to book your own accommodation in Whitley Bay and if you are on the transport option we will drop you off. Later that evening the group will meet for a fish and chip supper (included) and a wander along the front.

Saturday 21st June

4:15am: Sunrise sea swim or dip. This will be dictated by conditions but we hope for a fine midsummer sunrise. Afterwards, it's still going to be pretty early so you are free to go back to your accommodation to snooze or you can enjoy a peaceful early morning wander along the sea front.

10am: Checked out, refreshed, and ready for the day we will make the short journey to Cullercoats to swim in the bay and grab a coffee at the fabulous Cullercoats Coffee Co.

12pm: It must be getting towards swim time again! We are making the most of our time in the north east and heading up to Sweethope Lough for a swim with ice swimming legend Fenwick Ridley at the private swimming lake where he is based. The water won't be icy though, hopefully anything but! Sweethope benefits from being relatively shallow and has an even depth meaning it warms up quickly, so providing the weather has been fair it will be a nice mild dip. Anyone looking to get a bit of distance in or tighten up their stroke this is the place to do it, with guides and coaches on hand.

2pm: We take a late lunch after our swim and then it's back on the road to return to Cumbria.  We recommend booking a hotel in or around the Cockermouth area and will drop off where needed. Accomodation at The Posting House near Cockermouth is included in the full trip option.

7:30pm: There is free time till we meet for dinner and then it’s on to the west coast to see the sunset at St Bees and take a final dip.

9:30pm: The final leg of our trip takes us to St Bees to see the sunset and our final dip of a long day.

Sunday 23rd June

10:30am: Brunch dip and farewells.

This is a packed trip with plenty going on during the waking hours. Our swims are fun social dips not sporty training swims however we appreciate the logistics might be tiring. Therefore we are including transport so you can really relax; sit back and enjoy the trip knowing that everything is taken care of. A self-drive option is included and priced separately.
